Maharashtra to start doorstep vaccination drive from August 1 in Mumbai

The Maharashtra government has told the Bombay High Court that it has a policy in place to vaccinate the elderly and the ailing at home. The state government has said the trial of this new policy will start in Mumbai from August 1. The vaccines will be provided free of cost to over 3500 people who cannot step out of their homes either due to old age, health problems, physical disabilities or use wheelchairs. The policy of the state government will be finalised soon, the govt said.
